To be honest both games have their strong points but ive never gone back to CoH after playing men of war just because I prefer the squad based mechanics as opposed to commanding massive armies, but id recommend watching gameplay videos on youtube first as it does require a little tactics since you sometimes only have a handul of men to use.Brig USS Pickering presumably sank with all hands in a gale in September 1800. The map editor included allows you design levels and place units, for instance I enjoyed omaha beach on CoH but with the men of war map editor I can just recreate it to my liking. It also has a bit more realism especially in tank combat as the tracks can get knocked out meaning you have to send a man to repair it or you can steal other enemy tanks, there also is an ammo feature which means later in the missions when ammo is low you sometimes have to think do you have enough ammo to take out a enemy strong point or do you have to by pass it. CoH i'd say focuses on large battles like carentan and omaha beach, where as men of war has missions more like helping the resistance but does also offer some large scale wars. Well in company of heroes it always felt as though 1 squad of riflemen never made a difference, where as in men of war if used correctly one man can turn the tide of battle like in so many single missions i have played. ![]()
